Hi Im preparing my self for the weekend,Im attamting to replace the rear beam bush's.


Idont realy want tospend money for a bush replacing tool so wonder if its possible to do it with threaded bar and a couple of large sockets??

has anyone tried this at all???

Are you fitting Powerflex bushes? I wouldn't bother unless you don't value your teeth fillings.

Removal - DIY? - yes - A cut with a hacksaw blade and outer portion of the bush and it will be persuaded out with swearing, large socket and copious amounts of hot tea.

Refit is reversal of process (minus hacksaw cut) with swearing in different places. Clean out and lube the frame holes...

There is a tutorial type thing on PumaPeople for doing this. I chickened out and got someone to do it for me.

deffo replace with powerflex bushes!

you'll need the incredible hulk to push standard ones back in.... take it from me!
