Is my turbo going?
Discussion
After reading about on various forums i've heard that the turbo can be prone to failing on my car
now im not sure if im just being paranoid but im starting to think that mine might be on its way out
what sort of symptoms should i be looking for to find out
Edit: BTW its a '54 plate Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI

blue smoke, oil on air filter, oil dripping from an intercooler pipe and rapid oil level drop are the main ones to look for, if its the last one, do not drive it'll go into oil over run and your pistons will come say hello...
I had this happen to me on one of our works TDCI Focus'. Lots of fault lights on the dash, took the key out, err... why's it revving faster now?? Lots of smoke, oil and noise followed by one last big BANG!The car was towed away never to be seen again...
