Could be utter BS but came accross this, info now third hand at least!!
"We have been told that Ford have stopped production of the Focus Rs. They are trying to resolve the problems with the Heat shield coming off ,the rear spoiler comes off and the body mouldings are the wrong colour. There was 4 in Furrows the other day having warrenty work done. A friend of ours is still waiting for his and they keep putting it back he was supposed to have his last month but has been told March next year now."

Not come across any stories of heatsheilds or spoilers coming off or a related stop in production. Only spoiler related issue was the written warning regarding car washes as mentioned above. Ultimate Green cars also suffered from varying degrees of poor colour matching between the body and bumpers/skirts (which I guess is what is referred to as the side mouldings in the original post, as there are no bump strips or similar on the RS)
Car's built before June/July are affected by the undertray/bumper fixing recall, as there have been instances where owners have had their car's undertray falling off whilst driving.
