Hi,
Im about to get my st220 seviced and i can see that part of the manifold will need removing to replace 3 of the spark plugs. does anybody know if the gaskets get damaged during this process as ive heard they are rubber and therefore will not need renewing?
thanks,
SM

ds so ask for the old ones back
Thanks for the replies guys.
Im not sure if the manifold is coming off to gain access to the plugs during the service, it was just my novice eyes assuming it would have to. its not a massive issue if the gaskets will need to replaced just another £40 out of my pocket! I was just curious of other peoples experience with this car as ive heard from some guy who has serviced one before that they are rubber and were resistant to damage during the removal process. I hope this is true as its a bloody expensive time of year!

Changed mine but I did remove the inlet manifold, the gasket is rubber and no problems.
There is a nut right at the back of the inlet manifold that is a right bas***d to get to and put back on, so I left it off as it does not seem to hold the inlet in place.
Went for Ford plugs as no difference in price to alternatives.

Just another question. What does the snowflake light mean on the left of the dash as it came on last night? Im assuming its for the aircon? Does this mean theres a fault or simply needs regassing?
Thanks.
