I've just tried to start my Fiesta ST [07 plate] and nothing happened, i just heard a click [possibly the starter motor solenoid?] and then all the electronics went off. I couldnt lock the car with the key, i had to manually lock it.

The weird thing is though i started the car up 5mins before hand to move it off the drive and it was fine. I've tried starting it again since but the same is happening!

Is it just low battery or could it be something more serious?
Anybody else seen this issue before?

Battery's dead by the sound of it.My works Transit did exactly the same thing last week, turned out to be a faulty alternator resulting in a flat battery.

What's the temperature like where you are? A drop in temps can sometimes have an effect on a sick battery.

In the midlands so nothing out of the ordinary temperature wise. It's still in warranty so will try and jump it tomorrow and pop it down Allen fords for a look over it. The weird thing is though that It was running 5mins before I couldn't restart it hmm
