Well not exactly but it might as well be.

I have a MK2 RS2000 sat in my garage that a friend is willing to take off my hands but neither of us has any idea what it's worth. The reason for this is because it is in such a state. Basically there is not a lot of genuine original Ford RS2000 left as it's had so much welding etc over the years. It could really do with a whole new front end to be honest & my friend is probably looking to turn it into a grp4 shell or something rather than restoring it back to mint. But in short, it has:

2.1 Pinto all lightened, balanced, polished with a big valve head, done maybe 2000 miles but would need a rebuild

4-pot calipers with vented discs

Original 4-spoke Revolutions PLUS a set of Supalites (both sets need refurb)

Brand new full set of carpeting (never fitted)

So, bearing in mind it hasn't so much turned a wheel in +8 years, does anyone have any idea what it's worth?

How much do you want for it and how much is being offered?

That's the trouble, neither of us has any idea what the price should be.

From my point of view I'm looking at it as a pile of parts, so essentially the bits I've listed above plus a shell that needs a lot of attention. He's looking at it as a project that he'll either restore or turn into a rally car.

I said I'd have a dig around for some sort of price but all I can turn up is RS2000s in good condition going for £4K and up so not really any help.

I was thinking in the region of about £800; 2 x sets of wheels £100-£150 each, £300 for the engine, then you have the brakes, shell and everything else. Having said that, and even with the condition it's in, it is still a genuine RS2000 so wasn't sure if it's worth a bit more or not?

It's got to be worth more than £800.I've seen logbooks alone going for more than that
