Would you consider 193K miles too much for a diesel engined mondeo? what's the general opinion on the 2.0 TDCi 130

I'm amazed it made it that far!! Seriously i don't think that engine is that bad, the 155ps versions seems to be riddled with problems though. You need to know if the clutch has been done mind as that is quite a big job.
