Done something very stupid, was cleaning through my glove box last night I placed some things on the floor as I cleared things out. On placing things back into the glove box I've missed my service history log which has been left of the floor outside all night... in the snow grumpy

So its pretty ruined but still readable in parts. I know its mostly ford main dealer services and last two being arnold clark.

Now do you think ford will stamp a new service book with the history from their systems, otherwise I could be left with a somewhat dubious looking service log book.

paperbag thanks

Yes , but we will only stamp the ones we've done (obviuosly). A new book is only a few quid from the parts dept.

hi, do you know of a way to track history if it's been lost? ie a central database with ford or a customer service number?

thanks, any help would be appreciated

My experience with two different manufactures garages was that neither kept a record themselves and were both unable to re stamp a book unless I could prove they had carried out the services. This was even though they were the only garage to work on the vehicles.

I was told that the garage that did the work would be able to print off what they did.

No, there is no "central database" where we can see one cars service history. Would be far too unreliable.

However, your best bet it to go to one of the dealers, buy a service portfolio and ask them to stamp it. Go to the other dealer and ask them to fill in the blanks.
