Hi Fordies - a couple of S-Max questions please :)
Discussion
Well, I have just bought an 07 plate S-Max - family life catches up at last.
Quite happy with the purchase generally but I am looking for a few bits. My car is the basic titanium spec and I read that they come with a USB/MP3 connection as standard but I think my car pre-dates this (Mar 07 I think). Is there a recommended kit to add this connectivity?
I would also like some sort of floor mat for the boot, both as a 2 seater and a 5 seater if you see what I mean - is there anything available?
Muchos gracias in advance

No idea about the mats but the radios in fords that age often came with an aux button. If it did then check glove box (on dash storage bins if the smax has them) and the centre console (this is where the cmax connector lives). The connectivity is a from a basic phono lead so you can listen to your ipod but not control it.
If you have the aux button and no jack plug socket in the car the kit is available from ford at less than 20 pounds and is a very easy job to fit.

Thanks Chris. The car is still at the dealers so I can't check - I will ask them what I have and what my options are.
There is a rubber mat from Ford at about £50. The front, middle and rear carpet mats don't seem to be too expensive either.
While I'm here, does anyone have any experience in fitting a later model double DIN Sat-Nav unit like this one:

I am usually cynical about such things but if they actually work and fit witht eh cabling I have it would be well worth the cash.

The MP3 connector is just a phono lead input, in the glovebox, on the right hand side at the front.Quite happy with the purchase generally but I am looking for a few bits. You can buy a mat set from Ford but I thought it was a bit pricey - I just bought a set from the local car parts place and accepted that it wouldn't fit the boot perfectly.
