Hi all, more issues with the car and apologies for the long post.
I have a 2006 zetec 2000cc petrol which has done just over 13k. The car began to judder and the engine light flashed and so I got it taken to the Dealership. They have just phoned me to say they think there is a "Compression Concern" on No4 cylinder and need to remove the head to investigate. I have a couple of questions which I would appreciate advice with.
1) In Nov 2009 I had a mouse chew through a fuel pipe and a vac pipe, Ford's repleced the fuel pipe but did a temporary repair pending delivery of the new vac pipe. I was assured that the car could be driven and never received a call to go in for the repair and then the car broke, ( with Xmas etc I also forgot to chase them). Could this have contributed to the failure?
) In view of the low mileage and age of car can I expect Ford's to cover this or will it be down to me, possible contibution? If so what could I expect?. The car was 3yrs old 27/11/09!!!
I am sure that I will have a lot more questions but for now, I thank you all in advance.
Steve

To be honest steve the headgasket should last longer than 13000 miles, if i was you i would get in touch with Ford customer service who are pretty good, ive used them a couple of times myself, they may contribute to some of the cost as a good will gesture, as long as the service history is up to date, worth a try.
