VIN plate details - Ford KA

Afternoon chaps, long shot I know but here goes.

I'm servicing the others halfs 1.3 KA (2003) at the weekend but need her VIN number to buy the parts. She has managed to leave all her documents at her mums despite me asking her to take them to work...

Is there anyway I can get her VIN anywhere from her reg number?

BUying the parts from FordPartsUK and need the VIN to complete the order.

Pretty sure you can't get it from the reg number, but have you asked ford if they can just do it from the reg?

Failing that... get it off the car? Who's near it? VIN number is in the windscreen surely?

No she's parked it at the station today and won't be home this evening. I think that I'll give her local dealer a call and see if he can help!

It's awesome but it's for sale. So much fun but I'm having to do a lot of miles lately and can't really justify it. Need something cheaper.

It is, however, in Performance Ford next month in the "showstoppers" section - 7 page feature because they saw it in the classifieds!

Thanks again for the help chaps - all parts sorted.

Have gone somwehat overboard and am now changing:

Oil + filter
Air filter
Pollen Filter
Changing brake fluid to 4.1 and changing pads to EBC green stuff
Coolant change
New plugs + Magnecor HT leads
Replacing the broken glovebox catch
Wiper blades all round
Clear side repeaters


I knew I should have sent it to the local indy! She probably will not even notice...

Wow, that is a very useful thing you can do! Is it just for Fords, or can you do Alfas too??
