I need to buy a replacement alloy for a 2006 Focus ST and have been quoted £270 for a single alloy by Ford but online I can find the same looking alloy in sets of four for £400.

Are there terrible replicas out there I should avoid and where should I buy from?

A quick answer would be much appreciated.

Can anyone tell me if this is a decent purchase, it looks identical to my alloy but at £72 its cheaper than other prices Ive been quoted. Are there different qualities ??

Have a look on www.focusstoc.com and see if there's someone selling one or more wheels who may be willing to split?

If they're quoting £270 for the alloy alone (without a tyre attached) then they're having a Turkish, unless alloy wheels have become the new gold. If that includes a new tyre as well, then it sounds about the money.
I paid @ £150 for one without a tyre 18 months ago.

Yeah it was £270 alloy alone, I nearly laughed at her down the phone.

Can anyone tell me are all alloys which are the correct style much the same or are there bad replicas out there ??? These ones I posted the link to are £72 each reduced from £100. What do you think??

personally i would get a real one from ford, the are just under £200 not £270. a replica might not balance properly and could weigh in differently than a genuine one affecting handling, also it may be a different shade of silver and in that pic of the replica one of yours the inserts to the spokes are darker than the alloy face which wont look right at all.

Im very interested in that alloy but my I dont have a full membership on that site and it will only let me read the post and not reply.

Could anyone possibly obtain the guys email for me ???

I really dont want to pay much more than £100 and would be happy if it was refurbished.

You can't reply to 'For Sale' posts. Send the seller a PM (Private Message) via the site which you can do as a Basic Member. Come on, put some effort in... Or would you like me to buy it, refurb it and arrange shipping to you as well?

You wanted a cheap ST wheel, I've found you one. A little touch-in on it or a refurb (which will be about £25 per wheel) will see it done.
