where would I get new seat belt buckle bits for a Ford Focus
Discussion
Hi all, my wife has a lot of trouble getting the kids booster seats buckled in the rear of her my2000 ford focus, think it's cos the bit you buckle into is on a short rigid stalk from its anchor point and she's pretty short, so has trouble reaching across to buckle them in.
I figure that we could fix this by replacing the bit that the belt buckles into with a longer one, with webbing to make it more flexible (hope that makes sense)..
...trouble is that I'm having trouble finding what to look for online, and I haven't got time to get to the motor factors until the weekend.
Can anyone point me in the right direction - looks liek it'll be a fairly easy unbolt this, rebolt new - I realise there's probably a specific ford size, but they must make spares for this sort of thing right?
...oh the Pistonheads angle... as long as she can't buckle the seats I'm stuck in her focus whilst she swans about in MY Jag.
Thanks in advance, CH

Don't f
k about with seat belts!!
You used to be able to buy an extension that clipped into the seat belt stalk at one end and had a bucle that the seat belt clipped into on the other.

Well, the only problem there is that then we've given the 2 three year olds an obvious toy to buckle unbuckle as they see fit!!!
Only joking, thanks for the suggestion, but we'd already thought of that and they'd definately bugger about with the clips the whole time they were in the car.

Get a small plastic container big enough to go over the buckle.
Cut a small slot in the bottom just big enough to giggle the male part through slide it up the belt.
When junior is in the car slide the cover down over the catch which stops him/her getting tot he button to release it.
It worked for our 3.
