Just noticed my passenger side light isn't working and was wondering how easy a job it is to fix??

Unfortunately i know very little about xenons, so dont know whats involved with changing them? Is it just a simple bulb replacement??

Also, when i turn my lights on, i appear to get a very brief blink/flash from my duff light. Does this mean the bulb needs replacing, or is it something more serious??

Any advice/help/info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

IIRC this is common on the 220?? Not sure if it's wiring or ballast sorry, the ballast & HID burner is the same both sides, try some swapping wink

This happened to my 54 Mondeo.

Changed the bulb a few months ago. It had been flickering from new, but Ford dealer said nothing wrong.

Started to go out, but relit when turned off/on again. Eventually gave up the ghost.

The new bulb is now flickering occasionally, so I assume there's something wrong with the ballast unit.

Bulb renewal was quite easy. Remove lamp unit from car, unscrew two screws from rear, then unclip the rear cover (on which the silver ballast unit sits). Unscrew the bulb plug, unscrew a plastic collar from below the plug and lift the bulb out.

Dealer bulbs come at about £90 each, but I got two for £20 from a place in Worksop, through their ebay shop (which is cheaper than their website).

You can get bulbs with different colour temps. I got the wrong one (4300). The original bulbs were much whiter. This means I had to change both sides for the MoT.
