Had a recall letter today.

Ford says,

Engineering investigations have identified that under certain conditions insufficient engine vacuum may be generated resulting in a hard brake pedal. This condition will only be evident if the brakes are frequently applied, immediately after a cold start at high altitudes (exceeding 400 metres) A revised Power train Control Module (PCM) calibration is available to rectify this condition.

Anyone else had the letter or experienced the hard brake pedal?

Yes - got mine too..

Seems like you have to have a cold engine at the top of a mountain for it to be an issue..

Perhaps a case of paranoyia after the Toyota brake issues.

Got my letter today (along with many others), however thanks to early warnings on FocusRSoc.com, mine was all sorted back on the 5th.
