Sapphire Cosworth buying advice

I'm after buying a Sapphire Cosworth and wondered if anybody could tell me what I should be looking out for, is there any particular places that they rot or any mechanical issues that I should look out for?
Ideally i'd like a 4x4 with leather interior and if possible one of the last ones with air con.

like any old ford they rust around the wheel arches and sills, but check everywhere underneath.

Paperwork, service history, re-builds about 70-100k depending on state of tune, panel gaps, paint finish, chassis and engine numbers, blue smoke on boost, rattles and knocks from the engine (takes longer to quieten down from cold than a "normal" engine though), arches & sills, battery tray, electrics, uneven tyre wear, the list is endless but be as precise at checking everything as you can.

Going rate for a clean one is high, maybe £6-8k. Rough ones are less, uber clean low miles can be advertised anything up to £10k.
