Can anyone point me in the direction of how to adjust the headlight beam for driving in Europe, please? I know you can get the stick-on foils but apparantly they're not suitable for Xenon lamps.

I've searched the user manual but it says for Xenon headlights you need to consult your dealer for adjustment for driving on the right (pg53). Looking at the light units themselves I can see a couple of nylon screws that appear to be adjusters, but some clarification would be appreciated from anyone in the know.

regards,

Arun

On the Mondeo there is simply a lever to flick, anything like that in there?

I would hope so! Although I'm guessing it may not be so simple if it says to consult your dealer when adjusting xenon lights. I only had a brief peer in at lunch and only noted the two nylon bolt-heads. The issue with these adjusters I'm guessing would be how much to turn them by.

I'll have another look later but if anyone else can shed light on it (no pun intended) that would be great.

Good news, there is indeed an internal lever for this adjustment, behind one of the covers on the rear of the unit. For future reference, I'll scan the shematic my dealership is kindly posting to me and put it up here.

Same as Mondy then wink I think they just say consult dealer to cover their ass over the high voltage that is in there when on. They say the same about changing the lamp-it couldn't be easier!

I took my RS to France at Christmas and just used the stick on jobbies .. cheap on Ebay.

Did not push them on too hard as I wanted to be able to remove them after the trip. I had no issues.

Here's the info my dealership sent me, for those also interested. I had a go today and it's only a few minutes to do.
