Focus 1.8 Zetec needs servicing soon, seen Eibach springs on eBay for ~£100, is it worth getting them thrown on at the same time? Will it make much difference?

My old Mk1 1.6 Zetec was on Eibachs, tightened things up nicely without affecting the ride quality too much.
IIRC (it was about 4/5 years ago) they didn't cost that much more than £100 from the dealer.

How much do they cost to fit? I have no idea about car labour prices! From a good indy?

I can't remember now, my memory isn't what it used to be, i had them done at a Rapidfit place.
Ring around some places and ask them to quote.

Think i might do it, it needs a service anyway and for £100 can't go wrong really smile Just wondered what the merits were before I spent money on a 100k+ mile car smile

Merits are a lowered car that on day to day roads feels close to standard comfort levels. They do their job holding you level (as much as the paired oe shocks can) once fitted.
