Anybody know of a good Focus RS specialist in the South East? I'm planning to go hooning around Europe with my mate and his Astra VXR and to visit the Nurburgring later this year.

I would like an RS specialist to give the car a once over both before i go and upon my return. I would also be interested in a custom remap.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I have a Mk1 RS.

I know I could get a bluefin or dreamscience remap but feel that maybe a custom one would be better as each car is slightly different. I had a quote of £250 from a specialist but like I said they are 300 miles away.

I would like to know if there is a well respected RS specialist south of the river. If not then I'll just have to go for a 300 mile hoon smile

you could try torque of the devil, my ST gets serviced and sorted there, chris todd is a master, a well respected specialist only in uxbridge.

For servicing etc go over to SCC performance in St Albans, highly recommended by RS owners, the owner has his own
Had an R8 in there whilst I was there the other day

For a remap, can't remember the name of the place, but speak to yellowshed (trevor) on here
Done the mountune maps so can't be bad, think he will charge a bit more than £250, but hes worth the money

St Albans - not exactly south of the river is it!

As much as I love cars and would love to know how they work, I really don't have a clue. I just about fitted an induction kit on my last car. I'd rather let a specialist take care of her.

Are there any other options / opinions on any others?

I would avoid that place like a riddled rat having seen the pictures of their work on Mk1 Focus RS'. Again, seach the Focus section of the RSOC site for the evidence!

AMD is a good shout, I'm miles away so no idea if they are local but there is a top Focus minded guy there who knows the cars backwards and knows what works and what doesn't. He's very reasonably priced for stuff too, which is nice.
