MK3 1.6 laser Capri 1986

would my capri made in 1986 of had rear seat belts fitted as i cant seem to see any on the capri i bought last week. and have an mot coming up!!!! any help would be appreciated! Cheers. Stu

It was tricky to track this down definitively in Google, however:

some web site said:

Since 1987, it has been law in the UK that all new cars are produced with rear seat belts; the law for all rear seat passengers aged 14 and over to wear seat belts was introduced in 1991

all my capri's had them as standard as 4 mot if not fitted cant be tested
