Just come back from a 300miles round trip and noticed a couple of large stone chips on the wheel arch grrr

What's the best way to repair these? They are quite big, around half the size of your small finger nail yikes

Either a touch up pen from ford (a surprisingly good match) or a bodyshop im afraid. One of the biggest issues with the Rs is the paint is very soft cry
Is this on the rear arch?? if so it should have a clear protective cover over it to prevent stone chips.

Armourfend kits are worth their weight in gold, which is good because they cost about their weight in gold too!

Well, its no good to me now as the paintwork is already chipped frown

The stone chip was on my front right wheel arch. Really dont know how i got it there as i didnt think i was driving up anyones backside.

It might have been a motorbike taking off from the line or something?

True but worth remembering once the arch is fixed and worth considering for the front end or it'll need painted every couple of years.

Typical Ford, come up with a good colour but as its so expensive to put on the cars you get a very thin coating. Mates Imp Blue Cossie is the same, thin as!

How much would a full respray cost as i have quite a few stone chips on the rear wheel arches, the bonnet and the front bumber frown

Would £2k be realistic? Then maybe just spend a bit more on armourflex on the arches and bonnet?

When my dad looked into armourfend for his noble it was horrendous prices...cheaper to get the front end resprayed rather than replacing the armourfend

I think its a bit pointless having armourfend, once its chipped it looks crap, will need replacing as often as your bumper needs spraying, and not a great difference in cost neither!

I have the armourfend patches on the rear arches as they were oe and to be fair its done 2 years and still looks fine. Was @ £32 for the kit direct from fords and judgeing by the state of the arches after a year without it (had them painted before putting patches on) its done a good job smile
