As the title really.

I've only had her since February but the lure of a TVR is just too much. Especially as i have a 'Ring trip planned for september. Think i'd rather go round in the TVR than the RS.

I wish i could have both but funds won't allow frown

So think i'll will give her a good clean, polish and wax this weekend and take some pictures and put her up for sale.

It's a shame really as i've recently bought a scanguage2 to tell me under bonnet temps before hooning and also a few hundred quid on a Bluefin remap.

So if anyone is interested PM me, id be happy to sell her to a fellwo PH'er.

cheeRS

Shame hope youve got europeon recovery cover! laugh just a side note Tvr is a very differant beast but there wont be a huge performance differance until well into 3 figures & the power is a lot less 'useable' every day smile

hmmm not sure about that.

Focus rs 0-60 - 6.4secs

TVR T350 0-60 - 4.4secs

Thats quite a big difference.

Maybe you have forgotten whats it like being in a standard focus rs hehe

I'm in no rush to sell, so may still end up going round the 'Ring in the RS, which wont really be a hardship will it.

My mate has an Astra VXR, i just hope it beats him round. I'm not 100% confident though as it seems to have more grunt than my RS even with the remap frown

scratchchin remember the focus was tested by many people that got them to 60 in less than 6 secs and although the tvr books quicker in the real world theres little in it. Mine was only .1 of a second slower over the 1/4 than a e39 m5 before i had the manifold and with clutch issues smile your car should now leave the vxr for dead if not theres something not right i suggest you get it on the rollers (surry rolling rd is where i have mine done) as it should have 250 bhp ish with your spec

Oh really, i've never really timed my 0-60 but being in the VXR in does seem quicker. It feels like it has more torque than the RS.

His car isnt standard though, he has a twin exhaust instead of that oval / rectangular standard one. He thinks some stuff has been done under the bonnet as it looked slightly different to his mates standard VXR. I cant really comment on that as ive never seen under the bonnet.

Overall though i do feel his car would be quicker than mine. We have never really raced but the VXR's top speed is 155mph isnt it whereas the RS is "only" 150mph.

The VXR will win in a straight line, but as a mate found out they got to a corner, his RS carried on and the VXR span out
The RS will take corners at much faster speeds than the VXR

But if its not standard and you don't know whats been done then you can't compare them

Trust me having owned a T350T and now having a Chim aswell as owning a 300+BHP ST And having been in a few RS's there is alot of difference both in a straight line and around the bends, The RS is a very capable car but the 350 is an allround quicker Beast.

The VXR will only win in a straight line if its had alot of work done on it, I know a few who have put bigger turbos, and new manifolds on and they keep my ST honest but STD VXRs disappear quite quickly so an RS should see them off fairly easily too.

if his isnt standard then its a differant ball game after all you car still do a lot more to yours smile mine pulled 149.6 in a standing mile so im confident that 155mph is in its grasp (find out for sure in oct) a vxr with 385 bhp was at the same event (driven by a girl yikes) and did a 13.2 1/4 156mph standing mile but even with just a remap and deact my car was a lot quicker than a '280bhp' converted vxr. How much boost does yours hold ?

My boost doesn't go into the red at all, it probably stops just before the 1 mark.

theres an issue most likely a shot actuator as it should hold that stock after the remap mine held 1 bar till around 5800 then dropped off a little (due to standard turbo) what does your scan gauge read ?

Don't think the scanguage tells you the boost pressure?

I'll have to check the manual.

Could I bring the car to yours this weekend so you can have a look?

Not to worry if your busy.
