HELP LOCATING ENGINE NUMBER

I have just changed the engine in my 1.6 8v xr2i and want to change log book details where is the engine number located??

Like pretty much every other engine in the world, it's stamped on the bell housing somewhere. Usually on the back of the engine on Fords.
