Disappointing quality

The long rubber seal below the doors on my Mondeo bought new last year and now having 7500 miles on the clock fell off yesterday. Held on by small brittle plastic prong clips that look like mini versions of chess pawns. Utter crap given the seal falls directly below kids' feet getting in and out.

I'll be sticking it back on with double-sided acrylic automotive tape but I remain incredulous just how penny-pinching these cheap sh*t fasteners are.

It may not be much but I can't see me buying another Ford on this basis - cheap for cheapness sake. I see from the internet that the Moondeo Mk III had problems with seals falling off too.

Sounds like the same design on my Mk1 seals which are still fine after 14 years of use! Can you take a pic?

Your kids should walk around the door, and not limbo under it. User error.
