Hello

Help needed !! I have a 1999 Ford Cougar 2.5 and when I use indicators they are intermittent, if I turn them on (left or right) sometimes they work, but the next time they may work for one indication and then not again or may get a few clicks and again stop.

I have tried to find a relay for the indicators but there does not appear to be one ??

Can anyone help, don't want to go to the garage if its a simple fix.

Thank you.

Im sure there should be a relay for the indicators. On my 2000 model yr ST24 (more or less the same as your Cougar) it is relay R23, black in colour, located under the steering column, according to the Haynes manual.

Alternatively, your Cougar may be experiencing BMW symptoms, in which case its terminal I'm afraid, as indicators on BMW's are known not to work.biggrin

Cheers

Thanks for your help, found it changed it and all is well.

Bet peeps thought it was a BMW with the lack of signals.
