Focus ST MAF sensor
Discussion
Afternoon People. Right, new exhaust system and Mountune upgrade about to be completed on a 55 plate Focus ST and as such, I'm thinking I may as well make sure all is running well and replace the MAF sensor at the same time.
I quite fancy fitting it myself so is there any problem with a) not disconnecting the battery, and b) will this screw up the Mountune re-map?
Ta muchly, Simon.

Simon,
No problem to fit the MAF yourself and no it won't affect the calibration whatsoever. The only issue we ever see with MAFs is oil contamination usually from re-oiling filters (which we don't recommend)

Thanks Dave, that's good news. So, just a case of find where it is (think I can just about do that), pull the old one out, put the new one in, off I go? And battery staying wired up is fine yes?No problem to fit the MAF yourself and no it won't affect the calibration whatsoever.
