Afternoon People. Right, new exhaust system and Mountune upgrade about to be completed on a 55 plate Focus ST and as such, I'm thinking I may as well make sure all is running well and replace the MAF sensor at the same time.

I quite fancy fitting it myself so is there any problem with a) not disconnecting the battery, and b) will this screw up the Mountune re-map?

Ta muchly, Simon.

Simon,

No problem to fit the MAF yourself and no it won't affect the calibration whatsoever. The only issue we ever see with MAFs is oil contamination usually from re-oiling filters (which we don't recommend)

Thanks Dave, that's good news. So, just a case of find where it is (think I can just about do that), pull the old one out, put the new one in, off I go? And battery staying wired up is fine yes?

Simon.

Dave, you're a star, thanks Mate. Car is coming back to me sometime this weekend, brand new original ST exhaust and the full Mountune upgrade, so to say I'm looking forward to seeing the old Girl again is an understatement.

Again, thanks.

Simon.
