hello all

I have just bought my self a lovely shiny Ford Focus 1.8 tdci sport, its an 06 plate and although i love it its abit sluggish compaired to my last set of wheels, im not expecting Evo baiting pace but would a remap and a performance pannel filter free up some ponies and touques? I know its not going to set the world on fire but is it worth handing over 400 beer tokens for a remap and filter?

the internet is full of reviews of remaps etc but they all seem to be for VAG cars so please can someone enlighten me?

cheers

I found a remap of my old 03 tdci to be worth every penny. Performance was certainly improved and it made it a more drivable car. You may have noticed the flat spot at about 3200rpm, after the remap that was gone. I was quoted a gain of around 35bhp and wether I did get that much (never had it dyno'd) it did feel like an impressive gain.

I never had any problems afterwards with reliability and didnt notice much of a difference in fuel economy either. All in all I was a happy man. When I sold the car, the buyer was impressed an mentioned it being alot nicer than his previous focus tdci.

I used celtic tuning and would recoment to anyone. Great service.
