viscous fan - how to remove?

Hi

I have a 24v cossy motor which is partly stripped. I wish to remove the viscous fan but as the drive belts have been previously removed I cannot see how to do this.

Any ideas?

A job that can be very easy or a complete pain in the bum!

Have managed to do this a couple of times using a big pair of stilsons to hold the pulley from turning & correct viscous fan spanner, giving it a good thump with a hammer to shock the nut loose, remembering its left hand thread!
