Focus MK1 2.0 Ghia - Feels sluggish

Hi Guys,

We've got a Mk1 Focus 2ltr estate as a load lugger which just feel sluggish.

I know we have a problem with the rear discs/pads that need replacing (being sorted on Friday) which may be contributing to the issue with the car seems unwilling to rev as freely as I would expect. There also seems to be a slight flat spot at around 2.5k rpm.

Any particular problem areas I should look out for?

Best start with the basics, when was it last serviced?

Probably about 10 months ago but it's only done about 4,000 miles since then.
