My mondeo 2.0 petrol 70.k ghia rumbles on rough bumps at the back end ...i am too stiff to investigate properly ...suggestions please ? it is not the parcel shelf/spare wheel /rear seat/boot junk

If it's more of a knocking/banging sound, then it's the subframe bushes, which are a weak point on Mondys...

If its a rubbing sound, it's the wheel bearings, which IME also have habit of wearing out on Mondys...

My estate has banged from the rear for years, and it ain't the subframe.
