Do all ST220's have Xenon headlights? I love them but am unsure if they all do. They all seem to have headlight washers however :S

As an option in the Technology pack I think.

My 2002 model does, but I think they were optional. Washers have never worked.

I had to upgrade my main beam bulbs as they are halogen, and they didn't give off any more light than the dipped xenon beams.

Xenons were an option. I've got them on mine. Seem ok - nothing amazing IMO.

Cheers guys, how easy is it to upgrade them afterwards? (i dont mean the horrendous aftermarket ones that look more blue than purple!)

Also, is there a way to check visibly if the car has them or not? Ive seen one advertised as having auto headlights, will they be xenons?

Not very, you have to re-wire and get a second loom from a halogen headlight.

You can tell if the car has them as the projector light sticks out inside the headlight, whereas the reflector halogens are both concave style. Auto headlights are standard on all st220's and just turn on when it gets dark.

Thanks guys, sorry to go on, one last question, will it play mp3 cd's?

Ive seen two types of radio, the standard bulky ford one you'd find in a transit and a glossy sony one with lots of silver buttons.

Either of these have MP3 ability? Car im looking at is around a 2004 model. I hear the single sony cd will but the 6x cd changer wont. Is there an easy way to tell the difference between the two?

Thanks guys biggrin

The 6CD unit will have a button just to the right of the CD slot marked 'LOAD'. The same button on the single CD unit will be marked 'INFO'.

6CD unit does not support MP3-CDs. The single CD unit does. Both should have AUX in via 3.5mm jack plug for iPods, etc. Hope this helps.

Excellent, thanks for all the help guys, seen a lovely one today, test drove and felt good. Low miles and reasonable price too.
