I am restoring a 1972 twincan Escort, there is a hole in the firewall just near the fuse block/box. I think it is for an enging mount. I want to know all details about this as Eg was it factory fitted or after market, are the mounts and brackets still available and where from.

Any info would be great. Thanks

TBH i think you will be best off joining an RS owners club in Oz as the Twin Cams you got looked very different to the ones we had!

Also, make sure it is a genuine Twink as production finished here in 1970, replaced by the RS1600, but could be different situation in Oz.

Heres a pic of an Oz Twin Cam,

Thanks for your help.
I have found out Australian twincams prior to 72 were fitted with the mount I was asking about but 72 models and later didn't.
