Mondeo roof rack help!

Hi, I have and elderly friend who has a Mk3 Mondeo hatchback on a 53 plate.
He wants to fit a roof rack to it, now my question is will a MK2 rack fit a MK3 Mondeo OR are they totally different?
Any help would be appreciated!

Afraid the mk2 rack wont fit the mk3.
The bars are the same but the fitting kit is different.

I have Thule feet for a Mk3 that i am happy to pass on at a modest fee as i am about to get shot of the car. They've been used once and still in original boxes.
