Time for a new clutch? MK1 Ford Focus

My clutch has recently started sticking - when I remove my foot the pedal is not coming with it. It is making pulling away more tricky. The car has done 81K so I guess its reasonable that it might need replacing. It just not what I wanted after xmas.

What do the experts thinks?

If the pedal is sticking to the floor it sounds like more of an hydraulic fault than the clutch itself. I have also had clutch pedal return springs to break on MK1 Focus' so this would be my first port of call. Failing that I would check all components. Clutch master and slave feed before getting the box removed.
