Seriously, I dont think I have ever sat in anything which makes my back hurt like this before, feels like there the seat has got all the stuffing down the centre line and halfway up the seat back...

Anyone else found this, and was it a fault with the seat or just the way the seats are??

Have you tried adjusting the lumbar support?
Just got a MK4 Zetec estate and the seats aren't too bad in it - still fine tuning my position but not bad at all.

Well chuck its like this, a mondeo in any form is a very low spec car.

Even the overpriced titanium x is uncomfortable with its fake leather suede combo.

The length of test drive was enough to check for mechanical faults but not long enough to reveal that after an hours driving the seats cause me back ache.

So why you are sorry about the low spec I don't know, but yes I test drove it and also the titanium x and I couldn't see the value in the latter.

Mine don't feel too bad in the Zetec - did 500+ miles in the first weekend I owned it and felt OK.
Mind you though I had just changed from a Golf GT where anything over 2 hours and your ar$e was numb lol.
Will agree that the Lumbar support in the Mondeo is a bit high up though.
