Have you considered a good indie?
Reason I ask is that I used to take my ST24 to my Local Ford Dealer to get serviced and like you, started to get a bit sick of the way it was treated. Last time it went near the place it was three years old I seem to remember. I too got a load of scratches on the wing - presumably from the mechanics overall press-studs; there were oily footprints in the then nearly new car mats; there was an oily hand print on the top of the door as well as one on the roof. To top it all off, there was an extra 36 miles on the clock as well. I only put 8 miles on it when I test drove it prior to buying it!
And I got charged best part of £200 for the priviledge as well. Only one good thing came of it - when I went to investigate a rattle coming from under the bonnet, I found a snap-on screwdriver that the muppets had left behind. This has now been in my tool box for about 7 years. 'kin idiots. So its not been near a Ford garage since.
These days I take mine to my local garage. He's been in business for seemingly forever and looks after the car well, and the car gets a good quality oil in it, rather than any old s
te that the dealer gets in bulk that month. If you can find someone good, cheap and reliable they can be worth their weight in gold. Unless you car is still under some form of extended warranty I wouldnt go near a Ford Dealer for servicing. You dont get anything extra for the money you pay for their overheads, and once the car gets to a certain age, it wont give anything extra at trade in time either.

What is Block Exemption
Previously, motorists were required to have their vehicle servicing and repairs at the main dealer so as not risk invalidating the vehicle's warranty. The EC Block Exemption Regulation 1400/2002 (October 2003) allows motorists more flexibility in selecting where they can get their car serviced.
Thanks to this legislation, maintenance and service work does not have to be done by the main dealer as long as the garage uses Original Equipment 'Matching Quality' parts, and are recorded as such, and the garage follow the manufacturer's service schedules.
The Block Exemption Regulation (BER) covers service and maintenance during the warranty period and prohibits vehicle manufacturers’ warranties from including conditions that require:
all normal maintenance be provided within the vehicle manufacturer’s network
all parts used must be the manufacturer’s original spare parts
So what does this mean to the motorist?
BER safegaurds free competition in aftermarket parts, repairs and services and will benefit motorists by reducing the cost of servicing through better labour rates and competitively priced parts.
