My girlfriend drives a Ford Sportka and is at the end of her tether with it. We had a night of heavy rain about a month ago and the following morning the driver's footwell was absolutely soaked. Out came the carpet to let it dry out and we spent some time cleaning out the scuttle area.
The next time it rained it was back to being full of water. We took it to a garage who reckoned the windscreen wasn't properly sealed, so we had Autoglass redo it. We left it in her parent's garage to dry out properly and brought it home last night.
It rained hard last night, and this morning the car is once again like a swimming pool. All the online advice suggests either the drain holes in the scuttle panel (which we've cleared) or a leaky windscreen. It is obviously neither of these (assuming Mr Autoglass did the reseal properly), nor is the car losing any coolant, so it's not coming from the heater matrix.
So we're out of ideas, Pistonheads; what suggestions can you make?

Carpet out, dry the floor, sit in the car with a torch for the shadows and have someone hose the car over and over.
Its the only sure fire way to see where its coming in rather than letting the carpet keep soaking it up as it collects.
Yep. Even then I gave up on my old Mondeo, it was the bulkhead somewhere. So I got a can of expanding foam, took off all the rubber bungs into cavities I could find and went apesIts the only sure fire way to see where its coming in rather than letting the carpet keep soaking it up as it collects.
