Swapping the 'Y' piece. Easy?

My car is back next week and I have a new de-cat Y to fit when it arrives.

I'm no mechanical genius, but have access to plenty of tools/ ramps at work. Easy enough job for a clueless fellow, or will I need a grown-up to help?

Well, when I say 'new' I bought it from a PHer who recently removed it from their car. As a result I don't know the brand/ origins.

Ive taken mine off several times with no need for ratchet straps

Saves stressing the (expensive) clamp which will give up the ghost if you give it too much wang

You can do it without the straps but they make it so much easier.

Taking it out is very straightforward. I can't comment on getting it back in as I haven't tried yet, so I'm all .

Its an easy job. Just loosen the clamps and remove them, then get underneath and undo the clamp that holds the main 'zorst to the chassis. The 'Y' piece can then be disconnected from the main 'zort. The 'Y' piece comes out quite easily.

Replacement is the reverse.
