40A fuse?

Building up some spares for my post le mans trip around france and andorra and have read posts before about these fuses. I see that the mixed pack of spade fuses I have from halfrauds doesnt include any 40A ones. DO I need one from a TVR dealer? is this the infamous main electrical wire? where is it etc etc?

It's the fuse used for the fans and they're buggers to get hold of.

There's a lad on Hatfield market who sells them for a quid a dozen!

If you can't get there you'll need to ask a dealer/independent, uness someone else knows of a secret source.

An indie mech relative of mine mentioned a while back that it is possible to purchase these trippable switch fuses to replace the existing fuses, never looked into it thoroughly, but there are also time-delay switching versions too that switch back on after a 20 second delay... if anyone knows any more of these let us know, they'll be a godsend for our sensitive babies.

This must be the same bloke who advertises Steering wheel screws for 5 quid....

The fuses are readily available from RS or Farnell for 10p each.......

I believe you're looking for a ATC-blade type curcuit breaker such as the ones at www.bussauto.com/products/circprot/ (partway down the page). Unfortunately it appears the largest is 30A, though through googling you can find 40A breakers for glass-type fuses.
