Paniced that I noticed the same thing on mine - until the building work I am having done noticed that the drive was at a slight angle (rain run off) and that the plot is not straight (optical illusion)....

But, no suggest a check ASAP - use a tape measure to check at wheel arch on each side and also take it to somewhere you know it is flat (usually a supermarket car park) and check there - if it is listing then must get fixed ASAP. Would suggest suspension problems - could be chassis, but unlikely with a TVR.

Cheers,

Paul

Mine did this and it was cured by replacing the suspension bushings and also for good measure the upper and lower ball joints.

Makes sense to me, however had the car 'repaired'at TVR garage, noted that one side is lower than the other and have been advised that this is common on TVRS by a to be unnamed TVR garage ??. Just thought I'd check cause before it was 'repaired' the sides were even...

Yes, but most people don't spot it until somebody points it out to them.

my Saab does this on the drivers side....I just assumed it was because most of the time it had only 1 person in it, the driver and the springs had permanently compressed a bit, either that or he was a fat b*****d

I've found that on my car, the gap between the front wheel and the body differs slightly on either side - what I think you have to remember is that TVRs are hand-assembled and as such may be subject to slight variations.

My chim used to vary by at least an inch on the rear. My garage is level so I put a spirit level on the roof and the boot lid and it was ok. I told Noel about this and he measured the distance from the garage floor to the chassis and it was spot on so he told me not to worry. He was right because I have just checked again and it now varies by about half a centimetre. It's one of the things that make TVRs so interesting.
