Probrably indicates how many car are SORN registered through winter months, Qtr 2 being consistantly higher yhan Qtr 1.

What does the 'missing' model mean? (below Chimaera and 400se)

I like that, Interesting.

Looked at some other makes and there are quite a lot of ones where the model is either missing or unknown which is a shame as it would be good to have more accurate figures.

Just checked my 3000M logbook and it doesn't have anything listed under model.

I guess it's one of the "missing"...

Interesting - 2006 DVLA says 190 Sags registered on the UK roads.... Puts more weight behind the argument that nearly 200 were made.

Good point about the SORN, my Tam was Sorn-ed in Q4 2010, back out for hoonage now though. Also don't forget when looking at those numbers and working out how many cars are left that there are a lot that have left our shores.

Interesting find though

TBH I nicked it from here... and that was second hand.

Still interesting when you compare it with numbers of say, Porsches.

24 V8S's eh!, though seeing as TVR registered a load of them as 290's it will skew the figures somewhat, still if it gives the impression of rarity, I'm not complaining.

I wonder if it's possible that some 400SE's and 450SE's are registered as Tasmin's- otherwise the 35 450SE's that were made are down to just 12 on UK roads.
Also- there is no sign of the SEAC cars on there...

596 Cerberas left, wow. Of the original 2000 or so, that's a very small number.

There must be at least 25 V8S out there, as mine hasnt got the model field filled in on the log book.

Sorned
Untaxed but not sorned
Long term restorations
Stuck in barns and mothballed
All the other models not listed
All the other designations for same model not listed

I don't think that the list is such a dark picture and their will be plenty more...

Put it this way TVR must be a pretty unpopular undesireable marque if you compare the numbers for sale on pistonheads with the numbers made and numbers left??

I think although interesting the list is very innacurate.

Could be a good start for an accurate compilation though!!

True enough, but the thread is titled "How many are left on the road?".

Maybe "How many are on the road and not SORNed, BARNed, stored, in bits, or driving without tax?" would be more accurate, but it isn't as catchy.

This one shows total number registered since 2001, so for the later T cars should be representative of total production as opposed to how many are left:

Good point. There must be hundreds of them that have gone overseas, among them mine (99 Chimaera 500) that I imorted from Britain to Germany in 2009.
Almost each time I visit a TVR specialist in GB there is somebody from France, Sweden, Holland or Germany around the place looking at the cars.
Most TVRs in Germany are RHD so have been imported from GB at one point.
The "weak" pound has certainly accelerated this "drain" of TVRs from GB.

What this really shows is how inaccurately TVR registered the cars when new - the S owners list for V8S's for example shows 65 of these cars owned by PH members alone - and by active members I personnally know there were more than the 35 listed here as taxed last summer (indeed there were almost that many at SCH alone). Additionally I know my S3 is registered as a "290 S Tasmin" when it should be a "290S" so where would mine feature?

I think this is a classic case of the output is only as good as the data entered, although the trend for SORNing over the winter shows quite clearly

I can account for a couple

1985 taz drop top :- converted to race car
1984 taz drop top :- aquired it as you do, currently stored in france awaiting restoration
1996 CHim:- Currently in bits to paint chassis and tune motor
