Overheating CDs??
Discussion
Does anyone else have the problem of CDs jumping?
Checked the threads but no joy.
Now I don't have a cd changer (wish I did though), meaning that the CD is v.close to engine.
Problem of jumping Cds appear to happen when engine heats to a certain level, put a new Cd in and it works well until it heats up again
Anyone have the solution out there (other than getting a CD changer...how much are they by the way!?)
Will a twin cooling fan that kicks in earlier help?

When coming back to Sussex from visiting friends in Southend on Sunday evening, as I came onto the M23, my CD player stopped - but it did at least give the rather informative error message of 'HEAT'!!
Simply zipped the fleece up and turned the heater off - Jimi Hendrix was back again within 5 minutes.
Think I have been living in south for to long - must begun to pick a few unnecessary sissy southern traits - like turning the heater on !!

Hmm I must admit, I never have the heater on.
The answer may be to put them on cold?
Maca, can I ask what your thoughts are with the two stage fans? My car has never had (and still doesn't.. touch wood) heating problems, but my otter switch has gone so I'm taking the opportunity to revamp the cooling system.
Options are pay 30 pounds for variable thermostat or 100 pounds for twin. The latter seems a bit pricer in comparison unless you convince me otherwise!
