Fabrication work/ Dynotorque

Just had some work done on our T350 exhaust (we bought a stainless system with the end pipes not connected.) - Needed to get them welded on, but we don't have the skill or resources to do so. After a wild goose chase, I had a thought. I decided to call/visit a place I've wanted to go to for a while - DynoTorque in Birmingham. Very glad I did, superb work, very interesting workshop with lots of very interesting projects. A very varied skill set there too - already starting to think of various jobs we want doing/ parts we want making. From harness bars to tow hooks, should be good.

Just a heads up if you're in the Midlands and want something made up/ fixed/ sorted. I can see why these guys are/were so involved in Danny Winstanleys Green Sagaris Racer. We'll be back shortly undoubtedly... It's also an amusing place to visit as it is next to Driftworks, the tyre marks on the way into and out of the industrial estate guide you in!!

Just a bit gutted Brummmies Cerb was not there, but Craigs 'daily driver' twin turbocharged LS Rx7 and Blairs BMW 357Ci were great, we'll be wary of both if we ever see them about... Mental!

That is a fair old trip Clive! We are often down that way (Brighton atleast), but rarely with the TVR.

Deffo Dean. Looking forward to seeing how it compares to the Cerb, it feels noticeably slower, the data suggests it is actually very similar.

Also looking forward to seeing your Sagaris 4.5SuperSport and how it compares to our 3.6SuperStandard.

I have known Craig at Dynotorque for many years and he has always impressed the hell out of me, and for anyone contemplating an LS coversion should go there.

Oooh you've done it now... Until it fires up with that LS, you still drive a 318, something even my Mazda would leave behind.

Macdeb - definitely, but the facilities lend themselves to many things beyond just LS conversions - currently in the workshop were various LS conversions, an engine-less caterham (not to be LS'd) and a few motorbikes. The website details the different fabrication work they can undertake and we can see why they are involved with Danny Winstanleys Sagaris GTCup racer. Good bunch of guys, even KitcaralarmBlair is alright in person. ha!

It was a 325 so ner ner & I drove it from the dealers forcourt to DynoTorque (well a little bit more than that)

your exhaust all back on now?

Yup yup, was back on within an hour of leaving.

Just waiting for the T to return home now, its been racing at Pembrey all weekend, I've barely heard it! Will pop round with it sometime soon when we work out what else we need made.
