Anyone had experience with declared modifications to their insurance company? Any hikes in premium?

Mods made so far

• New silver Alpine dash cd tuner (looks cool), cd autochanger in boot and new Infinity speakers in the doors and 2 whopping great Infinity 6"x9"'s behind me.

• Leven everywhere! gear knob, handbrake, air vents, ashtrays, a/c switch, stalks

• Tomorrow, the exhaust has the baffles removed at Fernhurst. Don't think this will make any difference in performance.

Sometime in June Austec/Tornado chip and Mark Adams remap etc etc. Now here's where I expect some comment from the insurance company.

The car's insured with Tescos.

i found sunninghill the best. ask for aaron.

my seriously modded griff pulled only 10% bump on mods!!
took some work but worth it in the end.

Thanks Guillotine

Sunninghill wouldn't touch me earlier this year as this was my first TVR

All mods have been done post purchase in Feb this year

Modified exhaust sounds fantastic .... thanks Fernies and sorry to all the old dears in Petworth I scared with the popping and banging this evening.

I reckon the first 2 won't make too much difference to the premium but the remap and zorst will have an "uplift" to the amount they fleece you

I didnt have an increase on my premium after Mark 'rechipped and retuned' mine. I advised them and Mark provided a letter confirming details. No problemo.....

Out of that lot you only need to tell them about the chip, stereo and exhaust dont really come in to it..
