.....for the past month
Everything appears to be going tits up, I'm losing track of what order everything has fking up in, but over the past month...
The Clio racegirl TVR support car went bang, cambelt failure, empty wallet into engine bay
I fall off my pushbike and tear the ligaments in my ankle making driving (and walking but thats not as important) quite painfull
Now the Chimaeras gone bang and is looking even more painfull than previously thought, in the timescale and wallet empting stakes
This now puts Le Mans at risk as I really don't fancy doing 1000miles in a 10 year old 1.4 Clio
Now I know that there are a lot of people a lot worse off, a visit to the Hospital on Saturday to visit racegirls brother puts it all into perspective but it's begining to get on my tits
I know it's just a string of bad luck and we both still have our health (even if I'm still limping) but it's begining to get me down
It now looks like I'll be watching Le Mans via EuroSport and BBQing in the back garden instead of Houx

So cheer me up by telling me how bad your weeks been already

Sorry to hear all of that, but doing the mileage in the Clio is going to be better than not going at all.

As for my week.

steve - i have had a rough time of car related things of late. not to the same extent I grant you but enough that its been a test of character.

The Rover is currently with Mr Mechanic to give full service, cambelt change, new gasket, new power steering piping. Needs an MOT too. oh, and tax ouch.

TVR also needs a service. Oh, and an MOT (nice the 2 cars fall at the same time )

oh, spent the weekend fitting new door solenoid and new heater control cable (ie dash out job) and sorting a few other various niggles. Along with the service it needs a new thermostat and new master clutch cylinder - both in the boot awaiting fitting.

oh, and 2 new rear tyres needed for the chim before le mans.

ouch.

The money back on the tickets would be nice as well though as the bill for the Chimaera is going to be huge I've not completly given up on the idea yet, but it's looking doubtfull, I need to speak to joolz but it's not looking good

Well just had an email from racegirl that cheered me up a bit, it's our new Le Mans weekend plans........

· WE have Friday off work, have a breakfast that isn’t in between a french stick, and go for a blast down the A38 straight in Chloe. Back to the camp site (back garden) get out the paddling pool, BBQ and other stuff. · Friday pm we BBQ, drink lager out the bottle, wine out the box, get sun burnt and fezz in pool. · Saturday morning, get up early and get le shopping done, lots of french stick meat, and beer. Saturday pm, don the PH T Shirts and invite anyone who’s interested to watch the start of the race at 4pm prompt from living room. 5pm back to the camp site, more beer and a dip in le paddling pool. Saturday night, we walk to the fair in Mansfield, half pi55ed and sit on the A38 at 2am watching the cars go by. · Sunday am wake with a hangover, laze around le garden camp site and meander to the TV once we have had a proper poo in an english loo · Sunday pm, still in the PH T Shirts, we watch the rest of the race, drink more beer and are thankful the temperature isn’t 100 degrees. Relax in the garden early evening and BBQ. · Monday, have the day off, and wonder why we missed Le Mans so much.

As it was a nice day on Sat i thought i'd get the chim out on sat and then take it over to Rockingham on Sunday to watch a mate race his MG... The car had other ideas and chucked 1/2 gallon of fuel over the garge floor as i drove it out... Fuel pipe split. so back in tha garage and took the disco....

I have been to Le Mans for 6 consecutive years, which i think is quite an acheivement for a female! And I am liking the idea of it at home! Just for one year!

If we haven't got a car for Le Mans on the 12/13th I doubt we will have one for the 6th sounds good fun though.
Don't think it would be the same if we took my Clio

If the car was fixed, maybe, but it's doubtfull to be fixed by June 10th when we were planning on starting the Le Mans trip so that will probably be a no then
