Did the Griff or Chim come with heated seats at any time? as an option maybe, as i've got some suspicious wires trailing to each of the seats.

Yes - mines a 96 Griff and has them. They were an option. Mine are switched on by pressing one of the heating controls (recirculation dial I think). Not sure about Chim.

Excellent news, thanks, only thing is, my car is an early dash layout and I have know recirculation switch, so i'm now wandering how I turn them on (at my time in life!)

There's a couple of really useful threads from a while ago on here, search under heated seats, maybe.

I think the upshot was there is a switch under the dash somewhere ...

On my 98 Chimaera the heated seats switch is almost next to the ignition where the key goes, just a little further to the front of the car. It's a black switch same as the one for the boot. Of course, may not be the same on yours.

Try pulling the fan switch, especially if it is the one with the little orange centre (with a heated rear screen symbol printed on it).
