Sold?

I've heard from several sources that there's a rumour going around the factory that TVR was recently sold to a new owner.

I have no evidence or anything to suggest that it's true but it's certainly whizzing around the grapevine currently whether it's true or not!

Perfect timing, inline with the new model tuscan and sagaris too... i knew there was a reason for all these new models popping out of the woodworks!

Motorshows? They do have a bit of a history in producing new models for every motor show

Um for you Ted to post a rumour must mean your sources are fairly good .
I hope it stays in house so to speak, i.e. last years rumour that BS was lining up to take over the company is the reason and it has not gone to some faceless/passionless bank/institution .

I was going to say the same thing...for Ted to announce a rumour has to be fairly reliable source

I only hope it isn't true as just about to spec the Sagaris and any business uncertainty is never any good for future revenue growth....

Wasnt denied, just said it hadnt happened, and that if the right buyer and offer came along, he wouldnt refuse, and also mentioned the BMW family - that they would sell if the right offer came along too.

So looks like Wheeler must be filthy rich soon!

Oh well, now he gets to go on his retirement holiday of a lifetime and leave a mark in history! Lucky sod.

Lets face it could be, real salt is very un-PC at the moment, not healthy and al that. Low sodium substitutes are all the rage, which is not TVR's way is it .

I've heard rumors that Porsche is planning to set up a Boxster production in Blackpool.

The only reason I mentioned it was that I'd heard it from a few sources so thought it would surface soon anyway.

If it had been sold I'd have expected them to announce it on press day at the motor show.
