The Knockhill round is on Sky Sports at 8pm tonight.

See the Chairman get T-boned in the drivers side by one camera car....

...and me have a huge accident captured by the other camera car which then, err, has the same accident and lands in the side of my car....

Posted here as I'm not sure how often you TVR folk visit the Tuscan Challenge forum, and we often see 'bugger, I've missed it' posts on here.

There is also a race report and photos on my website www.andyholdenracing.com A nice snap of PetrolTed slapping a big PH sticker on the front of my third bonnet this season....

Splendid. Thanks for the reminder, Andy. Sky+ will be set...

We *will* get along to an event and cheer you on, mate. And now the Mrs loyalties won't be divided since Rod is now in the GTs...

Bugger. Think I'm going to miss it

Caught the action last week but I'm having a couple of sherberts tonight so might not be home by 8. Sorry to hear about the accident, hope it wasn't too expensive...

Sky Sports 2 at 8pm, Sky Sports 3 at 9.30pm again tonight (but do check as these things change at the last minute). I'm working away from home, but I've found a pub who'll switch it on for me tonight!

I'm also told it will feature on Channel 4's British motorsport show on 10 June, at, wait for it, 3.15am!!

Don - sadly Uncle Rodney isn't in the GTs. Not this year anyway as the Vauxhall didn't work out. He was out in a Uniroyal Beetle lookalike thingy in a 3 hr endurance race at Silverstone the other weekend, but I hear he wasn't overly impressed.

Can (has) anyone capture(d) it on disk? I haven't got Sky, 'cause I'm usually out watching stuff like this, but I'd like to see Griff2Be's suicide attempt . I got the impression that the on-track racing was quite good too .

Andy, dear boy (no:6), just watched Knockhill and recorded said program via this new Sky box thingy, which allows one to slow down the action and view frame by frame.

(1) you missed your braking point by 15/20 feet

(2) you looked in your mirrors,(right side) and copped a shot of "Big bad Ben" on the edge of control, shooting up your inside, a touch off putting

(3) you then applied "hard" brake, missed the last possible turn in point, nose dived the car, locked up all four wheels and thus became a passenger.

Why did this happen??? simple, it's a complete lack of M.I.T, If I've told you once , I've told you a thousand times, the force is with you my son, trust the force, and remember M.I.T, ....... Mirror, ignore, turn in, and F**k the Big bad bonnet eater, he's from the darkside, don't let him INSIDE Grass him up!!!!!!!!

Andy, thanks for the reminder, caught the race. I have to say you have a very nicely turned out race car there (pre bonnet mod anyway - ouch).
Looks like BS could benefit from SatNav, "in 100 yards turn right, turn right, turn ri... oh forget it!". But I suppose if the organisers forget the "keep off the grass" signs someone's gonna re-invent the circuit.
You looked to have a fairly busy race, some of the on board stuff looked pretty frantic and made for an enjoyable race (for me anyway).
Look forward to following your progress in the next round, my hat's off to you and good luck.

Good morning Uncle Rodney

As I have only seen said footage once, in the pub, with a beer, my own in-depth analysis and frame by frame dissection has not yet occurred. I am thus not able to confirm or deny your assertions until this evening.

After careful analysis I have little doubt that my conclusion (which naturally will be incontravertable) will be that Wheeler had arranged for an oil slick to be applied under all four of my wheels, and it was only my super-human efforts that prevented an even bigger accident. The man has consistently sabotaged my efforts in the Championship from the beginning.

Or it could be that I just braked too late!

It was a ing good race, whatever!

Its a shame that the TV footage just doesn't convey what its like to exit that hairpin, in the air, in a Tuscan.

Funny that, I had the same problem as a TVR main dealer.

Having re-watched the footage yet again, there's no doubt in my mind thatBenjabbertheclutch played a major part in your costly off, send the bugger an invoice.

Rod, what are you doing in a Beetle?

Come back to the good old days and bring a Rover V8 TVR to the TVRCC Challenge Cup. I'm sure it will bring back happy memories for you, and is all about value for money fun (with a competitive edge). We're on at Snetterton on Sunday, so why not come along and see for yourself. There are prepped cars available to rent or buy at the moment too!

remaining dates are as follows:

30 May - Snetterton
3/4 July - Anglesey
17 July - Lydden Hill
7/8 Aug - Brands Hatch
28/29 Aug - Rockingham
19 Sep - Mallory Park
2 Oct - Oulton Park

Just messing about, felt the urge to drive @ Silverstone, great track, and since we hadn't been out since the final Tuscan round at Brands last year, It needed to be done.

It's a very good series, and has some excellent drivers, but it's main thrust is aimed at the new/novice driver with small budgets, well organised, well supported, and nice people, any Pistonheader with a Nat"B" should give it ago. The cars are bulletproof, cheap to run, and very, very forgiving, however,I found the lack of power frustrating and it took so long to complete a lap, I found my concentration wandering, spent time looking at dials and even pitboards and I guess I've been spoilt by Tuscans, anything less then 450bhp@850kls doesn't do it for me

Jan Persson and I are looking at options for 2005, including a Cerbera for GT cup/ GT but it's early days and there are quite a few possibilities out there at the moment so this year we will just do the odd one off here and there.

E- mail some details of what may be available to drive and we will give it a look see

Thoroughly enjoyed the race. Must get along to some of the southern rounds...

Its a shame the old "Powertour" isn't still around. When it had the Porsche Carrera Cup and the Tuscans on the same bill it was absolutely perfect for me...

Don, there's a fair bit of Pork on display in the GT's this year, and most of the remaining rounds feature them and us. And some pesky F3 things that make my ears hurt.....
