Owners can (and do) complain about the marginal mpg, reliability and sheer bloody expense of running a TVR

Cut and paste from an earlier article about 'Top 10 convertibles' back in 2007 or so I'm afraid.

You know I've just read the 10 pages and I have never read such a pile of crap in all my days.

Apparently the Chimaera and Griff RV8's mostly went back to the factory for an engine rebuild within 20k miles.

In the six years that I had my Chim it suffered one electrical problem which was the 100amp fuse.
I'd hardly call that constant problems.
I get fed up with ignorant people knocking various car manufacturers, often the people in question haven't even owned a car of the particular marque.
I often wonder whether if TVR cars had been made by Ford (all of whose products are, according to the motoring press, simply wonderful, I have no idea having never owned one so I am not qualified to comment),whether the motoring press would have been quite so scathing, maybe the company would have survived.
