Just got back from a nice drive in the Tamora, and, as usual, the usual harrassment by idiots! Idiot no.1,(A40) a Puma, couldnt keep up going up a hill when I accelerated, so, obviousley, he's faster than me by overtaking me, and about 5 other cars in front on Chevrons and on a blind bend, well done mate, that was a terrific show of skill and power (!!!!) idiot no.2,, the obligatory Golf diesel who think he's faster than an F1 car, same trick!
I do wonder if they tell their mates they beat a TVR!
I don't take the bait because what's the point, anyone who knows that road will know that sticking (roughly) to the speed limit is a very good idea!

The sad fact is. These twollys WILL go home and brag to thier mates and the convo'll go like...

Idiots must have been out in force in Glos today. After showing someone what a V8 is all about, he has to have the last word and overtake me and several other cars on hatching - but doesn't know the road I guess cos he got snapped by the Gatso and we didn't

Just picked Fiancee up from work (UGC), and gave a Merc and a BMW no quarter this time,,,, not a chance on a straight strip of duel carriagway, they were both vieing for position, and up my ar@e all the way to Gloucester on the A40, hope I made 'em feel like a pair of lemons
I am sure we have seen your chim around and about Alex, but, alas,, when we see another TVR, we always seem to be in the Clio!!!! ( was that you yesterday afternoon by the Dog at Over?)

As an aside, do you find when accelerating in this car you get to a point where you think you have max revs and then glance down at the rev counter and its only reading 6000, and pressing the pedal further sends you ballistic with a blood curdling wail

Rolex, indeed I do find that! , If I floor it, (only in a straight line as I'm not yet confident enough for 'proper driving'), up to about 4500 revs, the acceleration is VERY progressive, but,, once past that, it's positively ballistic, I can only see the 1st light for the revs at the corner of my eye, as I'm glued to the road, go into 4th gear, and it feels like it's gonna take off! certainly at the upper end of the rev range, the other cars simply cannot compete, and they get smaller in the wing mirror quicker once up in the revs. Certainly different to the Chim, and still scares my Fiancee, (have made her bang her head on the headrest twice today from accelerating!! lol)

More than likely, was on my way to/from The Puesdown - silver chim. Probably see you around the Forest, Tivs seem to be pretty rare in these parts.

Alex,, have seen you around a few times , but,, always in the darn Clio,, we even seen a silver Tamora in Gloucester earlier!!! when we were in the Clio!
Chan still misses the Chim quite a bit, I think she'll have one once the kids are older,,, but,, going back to the original thread, Chan told me that when she drove the Tam into Gloucester,, there were numpties in Novas and XR3i's who would rev their engines behind her at traffic lights, and then get hell bent on killing themselves and any other car driver/pedestrian to get ahead,, strange they're nowhere to be found on the duel carriageways, isn't it!!! why??
